SPRING REGISTRATION &

UNIFORM STORE OPEN

WHYLL Families,

Registration for the 2024 spring lacrosse season is now open. We plan on an early start (weather dependent) and will begin the 14U/12U preseason in late Feb/early March.  Tryouts for 14U/12U “A” teams will be at the beginning of our preseason ... details to follow.  Our regular season will begin after the April break.  Like in past years, 10U and 8U will also start after April break.

REGISTER: WE HAVE A NEW WEB SITE WHICH WILL REQUIRE YOU TO FIRST OPEN AN ACCOUNT AND THEN REGISTER.   Please follow the link and register your athlete: https://www.whyll.com.app.crossbar.org/

The new site is hosted by Crossbar and is a major upgrade.  This is the site used by CT Valley Youth Lacrosse and we are excited about the change.  Crossbar also has a good mobile app.

WAITING LISTS:  The U14 and U12 Divisions will now utilize waiting lists to ensure teams are sized appropriately.  We will not accept players off the waiting list until the numbers merit an additional team and coaching staff is available.  DO NOT WAIT TO REGISTER!!!

AGE GROUP WAIVERS: All requests for waivers to play outside of your son's age group will need to be submitted in writing. Requests will be reviewed by the division coordinators, the WHYLL Board of Directors, and CVYL for acceptability. Waivers will only be considered where the size of the player and/or skill level justify it.  The league will not review waiver requests based on social reasons. If a waiver is granted, the appropriate division coordinator will notify the parents. Submit requests to: wehayouthlax@gmail.com.  In the meantime, register according to age.

UNIFORMS: If you did not play last year, need replacement items, or a new size, place your order here:  https://blatantteamstore.com/collections/west-hartford-lacrosse-team-store

List your 3 top choices for numbers. If there are number conflicts, WHYLL will make the final decision.

UNIFORM ORDERS WILL NEED TO BE PLACED IMMEDIATELY ... THERE IS A 1/15 DEADLINE FOR UNIFORM ORDERS:   Uniforms should be placed as a standalone order from any other items in the store. Uniforms are six to seven weeks out, but other items may ship sooner if you place separate orders.  Uniform orders placed by the deadline are anticipated to be delivered mid-March.  You will pay on the site and the uniform/other items will be shipped to the address of your choice.

CHEST PROTECTORS:  There is a new chest protector rule, and all players will need the new-style pads to play. Follow this link to learn more, https://www.usalacrosse.com/lacrosse-chest-protector-faq

SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Proper equipment (helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, athletic cup, mouthpiece, and stick) are the player's responsibility.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT: The league has funds available to assist with registration costs and equipment purchases. Please contact Coach Carl Taylor at whyll@aol.com

Best regards,
